HVAC Commercial Estimator

Job descriptionOverviewAtlas Mechanical is currently seeking to hire an HVAC Commercial Estimator. This person will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems in commercial building projects. This includes reviewing project plans and specifications, calculating material and labor costs, and providing cost-effective solutions to meet client specifications. The estimator works closely with project managers, to ensure that HVAC projects are bid accurately and competitively, while maintaining the quality and efficiency of the work.**Schedules bids (estimates) and budgets (jobs awarded) on a weekly basis.Performs estimating process daily, including take-offss, quotes and proposals.Prepares budgets; includes processing of reports.Calculates and prepares estimate changes on a monthly basis using Excel.Enters estimating data into database.Analyzes RFP, specifications and drawing to determine the constructibility of the current design.Minimum 7 years of estimation experience, plus a thorough working knowledge of HVAC systems, design and installation.Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, effective organizational, troubleshooting and problem solving skills with the ability to set-up, automate and track data and information.Ability to self-initiate activities, coordinate tasks and manage projects with strong attention to detail and follow-up.Requires strong customer service, excellent people skills and the ability to build and maintain supportive working relationships.Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, flexibly and responsively while working with competing priorities and deadlinesExcellent computer skills with Timberline and MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets and create reports.Come join us we are growing!Salary *** $85K to $100K depending on experience.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe noise level in the work environment is usually low.
