Want to be part of the team?Day-to-day:Research, develop, and test electrical systems, electrical designs, electrical controls, technical solutions, software, and procedures.Modify existing designs, solutions, and softwareWriting manuals for design specsSupport current and new designs for aircraft carrier parts, controls, and manualsMaintaining electrical system diagramsProvide technical solutions (paper products)Design new controls for CVN 80, 81, & 82 (new construction)Communicate with internal and external customers (NAVSEA, NAVY, and FLEET/Waterfront)Test ship products in lab to ensure work is correctWrite instruction manuals for how to use parts on carrierReview submittals, drawings, and test results from vendorsMake technical decisions on product reviewsSupport all functions on New Construction (CVN 80, 81, & 82) and Fleet Support (CVN 78 & 79)Make recommendations to government customersMust Haves:Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited university/program0-3 year of relevant professional experienceExcellent problem-solving skillsHighly motivated and self-drivenAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsNice to Have:Experience in working with one or all of the *****InstrumentationTransformersSwitch BoardsFamiliarity with submarine or carrier propulsion plant arrangementMedium Voltage PowerPower TestingProtective RelaysPower DistributionPower SystemsReactor PlanningTechnical CorrespondenceNavy NukesAllen Bradley PLC
