Principal Test EngineerAn on-site individual who **Take ownership for and develop diagnostic and test capabilities for production, field and system power-up self-testWork with and train CM personnel to perform diagnostic tests, generate summary test reports, and archive results in a production test databaseWork with CM and engineering to resolve production and field failures and drive changes needed to resolve issues as they ariseWork with the design team to design, build, test, document and release electromechanical test fixturesProgram test software in Python, write scripts and applications on Linux platformsWrite formal test protocolsConduct tests of electronic equipment according to written protocols and write formal test reportsAnalyze and present numerical results using software tools such as Matlab to other engineersTroubleshoot issues with electromechanical apparatus by independently reading and understanding electrical schematics and mechanical drawingsBS electrical engineering, industrial engineering, systems engineering, manufacturing engineering. MS preferred.10+ years commercial experience as a test engineer of medical device capital equipment. 3+ years as a technical lead in test engineeringExperience with standard electronics lab equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.Strong programming experience in python with additional experience in languages such as C, C++, JavaScript, or similarExperience using Matlab independently to analyze data and present resultsExcellent verbal/written communication skillsSelf-motivated. Works well both independently and in a diverse team.Nice to ***Experience with IEC 60601-1 EMC & Safety testingExperience with hand tools, basic power tools, and 3D printing preferred
