About UseCard Systems is a leading provider of physical gift card manufacturing, gift card processing, and digital gift card solutions for major clients such as Square, Toast and DoorDash. We offer innovative, end-to-end solutions for gift card programs, including production, processing, and platform management. As a rapidly growing company, we seek an entrepreneurial Vice President of Engineering who can oversee the current technological operations while developing the capacity for future leadership as a CTO.Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Vice President of Engineering who will report directly to the CEO. This role will manage and optimize all aspects of eCard Systems technology, ensuring the efficient operation of our current infrastructure while planning for scalability and future growth. The ideal candidate will have experience leading technical teams and will be ready to step into the CTO role as the company expands.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology ** Oversee the development and execution of the technology roadmap, ensuring that current technology efforts align with business objectives while preparing for future needs.Team Leadership & * Build and mentor a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Transition from a hands-on role to a strategic coach as the team matures.Platform * Manage and optimize eCard Systems IT infrastructure, ensuring that systems are secure, scalable, and efficient.Risk & Security * Identify and mitigate technological risks, with an emphasis on data security, system scalability, and operational continuity.Collaboration with * Work closely with the CEO and other executives to align technology efforts with company goals, while transitioning into a more strategic role as the company grows.Innovation and Product * Lead the development of new products and services, ensuring the technology team is proactive in staying ahead of industry trends.Budget * Manage the technology budget and make cost-effective decisions regarding technology investments.Vendor ** Oversee relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure they meet operational and strategic needs.Requirements1.        Proven experience as a VP of Engineering, Director of Technology, or in a similar senior technical leadership role.2.        Strong background in platform development, system architecture, and payment processing technologies.3.        Experience in fintech, gift card systems, or e-commerce platforms preferred.4.        Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage operations while developing leadership capacity.5.        Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.How to ApplySubmit your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and qualifications for this position.
