CMM Quality Technician

A medical manufacturing client is looking to hire a Quality Technician on 1st shift in Forest Lake, Minnesota. This direct hire employee will be responsible for understanding, communicating, and verifying conformance to internal and external quality standards and will need to work 100% onsite in order to program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines or CMMs.Must Have ***** At least 3 years quality experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience programming and operating Coordinate Measuring MachinesUnderstanding of modern manufacturing processesKnowledge of systems implementation including ISO 9001 and AS9100 preferredExperience with basic and advanced measurement tools (OGP, Trimos, tool scopes, etc.)Knowledge of blueprint reading / GDTUnderstanding of component and/or mold manufacturingAbility to make decisions on in process tolerancing.Essential *****Work cooperatively with all employees.Program and operate CMM - previous experience requiredInitiate, perform and maintain inspection instructions for receiving, in-process and final inspections.Develop and/or adapt inspection equipment to meet quality standards, make suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.Investigate and determine cause of quality issues; assist production and other personnel with Corrective Action process.Assist in the handling and documentation of nonconforming product.Assist in maintaining the calibration system.Salary of $74,000 - $84,000
