Senior Project Engineer - Multifamily Construction

Senior Project Engineers at this company are considered APMs in job description and are eligible for promotion directly to Project Management upon successful project completion.Job Description:The Senior Project Engineer will provide support to the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in providing the overall administrative, financial, and technical direction of a project. This position will work directly with the Project Manager to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with contract, design, budget, and schedule requirements.Select Responsibilities:Review and verify constructability of plans and specificationsContribute to the buy-out process by requesting and reviewing bids and aligning budgets as necessary to create subcontractsPerform detailed review and processing of project submittalsDevelop and maintain material tracking logsResearch, develop and write detailed RFI'sCoordinate with Design team for efficient responses to submittals and RFI'sPresent in weekly project status meetingsAssist with project forecasting and month end financial reportingManage changes and ensure proper distribution of construction documents and/or project scope to ensure that the most current documents are being usedCoordinate with project team to ensure materials are available when needed on siteQualifications:Bachelors Degree in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture related disciplines, or equivalent relevant experienceMust have a minimum of 4 years experience within the construction industry for a commercial General Contractor in Project Coordinator, or Project Engineer capacities before being considered eligible for this position.Proficient with relevant construction technology; Procore experience a plusMust have experience on multifamily construction projects
