Job Summary:The Civil/Mechanical Manager oversees the design, implementation, and optimization of civiland mechanical systems in renewable energy projects. This role integrates technical expertisewith strategic leadership to ensure seamless execution, compliance with regulatory standards,and delivery of high-quality results that align with San Joaquin Operators' mission and clientgoals.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Collaboration• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of civil and mechanical engineers, fosteringinnovation and professional growth.• Drive alignment between civil/mechanical engineering and organizational objectivesthrough strategic planning and execution.Project Management and Leadership Excellence• Apply advanced project management principles to effectively plan, execute, and overseecivil/mechanical engineering projects.• Preference will be given to candidates holding PMP certification, showcasing theirexpertise in managing complex, multi-disciplinary teams and achieving outstandingresults• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of civil and mechanical engineering components,ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.• Develop and implement risk management strategies to proactively address projectchallenges.Technical Innovation and Excellence• Oversee the preparation, conduct the inspection, report, and approve of engineeringwork and designs, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and industrystandards.• Leverage advanced modeling tools and sustainable engineering practices to enhanceproject outcomes and operational efficiency.Safety, Environmental Stewardship, and Quality Management• Implement robust safety protocols and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance withsafety regulations and environmental policies.• Champion sustainable engineering practices that align with ISO 14001, minimizingenvironmental impact and enhancing resource conservation.• Drive adherence to ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (EnvironmentalManagement) standards throughout all civil and mechanical engineering processes.• Implement quality management systems to ensure project outputs meet rigorousstandards for consistency, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Client and Stakeholder Engagement• Serve as the primary point of contact for civil and mechanical engineering matters withclients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.• Communicate progress and technical updates, building trust and transparency.• Take ownership by serving as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, andregulatory agencies, ensuring clear communication, transparency, and trust throughoutthe project lifecycle.Resource Optimization• Manage budgets, allocate resources, and identify cost-saving opportunities whilemaintaining quality and performance standards.• Optimize team workflows and resource utilization to meet project deadlines efficientlyPreferred Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred.• 3-5 years of experience preferred in civil/mechanical solar construction projects.• Experience in project leadership, reporting, submittals, RFIs, civil pre-constructionservices, MMRPS, commissioning, navigating environmental and safety regulations, andfinishing projects to completion driven by a commitment to placing the client at the centerof every solution.• Exceptional communication, leadership, computer, and problem-solving skills.• The ideal candidate will have a ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 credentials or relevantexperienceWork Environment and Travel:• Ability to work in office and field environments, including navigating construction sites.• Some travel required.
