Position OverviewAs a Heavy Civil Estimator you will be responsible for creating precise cost estimates, reviewing project specifications, and collaborating with vendors and subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects within budget. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, a deep understanding of the San Antonio construction market, and a proven track record in estimating for heavy civil projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and present detailed cost estimates based on project plans, labor requirements, material costs, and timelines.Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain competitive pricing and secure the best possible contracts.Analyze and compile comprehensive project reports to support project teams and clients.Stay informed about local construction market trends, material pricing, and applicable regulations in the San Antonio area to ensure project accuracy and compliance.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on heavy civil projects.Proficiency with construction estimating software (such as ProEst, PlanSwift) and strong Excel skills.In-depth knowledge of San Antonio construction costs, local building codes, and market conditions.BenefitsCompetitive salaryHealth insurance401(k) plan with company matchingPaid time off (PTO) and holiday benefits
