Natural Gas Project ManagerLocation: Virginia Beach (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office, Tues-Thurs)Salary Range: $120,000-$150,000 per year DOENote: This is NOT an IT role.Experience Level: 3-8 years (minimum 2 years as a Project Manager)About the Role:Our client, a leading natural gas utility company, is seeking an experienced and motivated Natural Gas Project Manager to oversee capital projects ranging from $20-$80 million. The role involves managing maintenance, upgrades, and repairs for natural gas compressors and associated infrastructure. This position requires a results-driven individual with strong leadership and organizational skills who can effectively coordinate engineering, construction, and contractor teams to ensure successful project delivery.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage capital construction projects, including natural gas compressor upgrades and maintenance.Oversee the execution of projects from planning to completion within scope, budget, and schedule.Develop and maintain project tracking systems for updates and reporting.Review and negotiate bids, select contractors, and manage contracts.Handle change orders and ensure alignment with project goals and budgets.Work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure project alignment with technical specifications.Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including an assigned Project Manager, for seamless execution.Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols.Identify and mitigate project risks while promoting a diverse and safe work environment.Manage Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) processes for large-scale capital projects.Qualifications:Required:Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred (preferably Mechanical, Civil, or related field).Minimum 5-8 years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years managing capital projects at a gas utility.Proven track record managing large-scale construction projects ($20-$80 million).Strong skills in contract management, bid reviews, and contractor selection.Preferred:Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Experience managing natural gas compressor projects.Key Competencies:Self-starter with a go-getter attitude.Strong attention to detail and pride in work.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability and willingness to learn new processes and technologies.Commitment to diversity, safety, and fostering a cooperative culture.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.Professional growth and development within a leading natural gas utility.Join our client's team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy infrastructure.
