Job descriptionGeneral Contractor based in St. Louis, MO is looking for a Superintendent to join their Special Projects Division. This division handles commercial interior remodel projects valued $1M-$10M in value. Experience as a Lead Superintendent managing the full scope of a commercial interior remodel is required. JOB DESCRIPTIONA Superintendent has the knowledge, skills, and experience to manage the day-to-day field operations of all aspects of a government construction project. The Superintendent is responsible for all production aspects of the project and is accountable for producing quality work that is constructed consistent with the standards set forth in the projects contract documents, as well as performing the work in a timely and cost-effective manner, and for maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.Implement all safety policies and quality programs, ensuring strong performance on safety auditsManage the activities of subcontractors, vendors and labor, maintaining strict control over the accuracy and quality for each work activityPlan look-ahead schedules, maintain project schedule controlsIdentify and report problems or deficiencies to the Director / project executivesDocument on-site activities that may impede progress or compliance to project/contract requirementsCreates change orders to executionMiscellaneous purchasesReview subcontract agreementsMaintain strict control over the budget for each work activityCoordinate receipt of and inventory of all owner supplied materialsAssist in preparation of project status report and provide complete daily reports to the Project ManagerQUALIFICATIONS3+ years experience as a commercial construction SuperintendentPrevious experience overseeing commercial projects $1M - $10M in valueA thorough understanding of and ability to maintain a current, complete set of project documents, blueprints, revisions, specifications, and related itemsGeneral computer skills, willingness to expand the use of new technologies for scheduling and reportsOSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid training certifications preferred, but not required.
