Director of Services

Fairchild Communication Systems, Inc., a technology systems integrator, is hiring a Director of Services in Indianapolis, IN.OPPORTUNITY:As our Director of Project Services, you will lead and manage a team of well-trained Maintenance Technicians. Oversee and manage all service-related operations for our existing healthcare, education, and government customers. You will be involved in strategic planning, process improvement, customer service excellence, and team leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality telecommunications services. Reporting to our Branch Director, you and our Director of Project Operations will ensure our customers have top advancements in technology that operate effectively.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Lead, mentor, and manage your team of service technicians.Oversee cabling installations and service operations on sites including network maintenance, technical support, and field services.Manage and mentor field technicians, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and project timelines.Perform site visits, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide hands-on leadership as needed.Ensure the technician team properly installs equipment for commercial clients.Implement training programs to keep staff updated on industry trends and technologies.Ensure compliance with industry regulations, service level agreements (SLAs), and company policies.Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, ensuring seamless service delivery.SUCCESS FACTORS:Bachelors' degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.5+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing service technicians, preferably audio/visual systems.Strong understanding of network infrastructure, telecom service operations, and industry regulations.Proven experience managing low voltage AV projects, with hands-on knowledge of various telecommunication systems.Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Ability to climb attics and work in confined spaces as needed.Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers.Embraces working at both the office and customer sites. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:Fairchild Communications Systems will reward your management talents with an attractive compensation package with on-target earnings (OTE) of $110k - $125k+ (includes base salary and incentive plan.)
