This role will contribute to developing strategies that enhance the overall product ecosystem and deliver additional value to customers while supporting the company's growth objectives.Responsibilities:Product Strategy and Vision:Contribute to the development of a clear vision and strategy for complementary products that aligns with company goals and market needs.Conduct market research to understand customer and end-user needs, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.Support defining and prioritizing the product roadmap based on insights, analysis, and business objectives.Portfolio Growth and Strategy:Assist in identifying opportunities for innovation and new product introductions within the complementary product portfolio.Ensure complementary products align with and enhance the core product line.Product Development:Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, and sales) to support product development from concept to launch.Maintain detailed product specifications and requirements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.Assist in managing the product development lifecycle to ensure timely and successful delivery of products and features.Customer Focus:Engage with sales and customer-facing teams to gather feedback on product performance, identify pain points, and uncover opportunities for improvement.Ensure products meet customer expectations for user experience, functionality, and reliability.Market Analysis and Positioning:Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and challenges.Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective product messaging and go-to-market strategies.Performance Monitoring:Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.Participate in post-launch evaluations to gather insights and apply them to future product initiatives.We Offer You: Full benefits package; medical, dental, vision401k plan Competitive PTO accrual as well as additional wellness days Hybrid work schedule Work environment that harbors a culture of collaboration and community Learning and development opportunitiesQualifications - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or universityYou Bring (requirements, preferred skills):3-5 years of product management experience, preferably with consumer durables.Demonstrated ability to contribute to the successful launch and management of products.Strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Highly consumer-focused; knowledge of the sewing and/or craft industry preferred.Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing.Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.Solid financial and business acumen.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balance priorities, and meet deadlines.Proactive and able to navigate ambiguity systematically to clarify opportunities and challenges.Must be able to lift >25lbs, which may include handling sewing machines for product marketing innovation and launches, as well as marketing events.You will need to be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including: Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer etc as well as have the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the timeRequired to retrieve or reposition products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 poundsAny additional physical requirementsThe Employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
