American advanced manufacturing is on the move and we're looking for a VP of Sales whose energy, optimism and technical excellence match! You must have a track record of success managing and leading rapid sales growth in a small, private, agile, profitable technology company - taking a team from two to ten, and putting a consistent 35% CAGR on the board. And you'll be excited to carry your own quota along with management responsibility.Bottom Line, Up Front, were looking for a unicorn. That may not be you. But if youre a former NCAA, pro athlete, military veteran or come with other high-functioning organizational experience who relishes the grind inherent in winning, and shares our excitement with the rebirth of American manufacturing, maybe you're the one!CompanyHirebotics is a Nashville company that builds cobots for welding and plasma cutting. We launched 10 years ago with a clear goal; to simplify robots so that they could be easily, safely and effectively deployed to quickly improve production. We have installed >600 cobots on factory floors around the world to perform various applications from machine tending to welding. Our growth focus is on cobot welding, where our immediate shipment (from stock), user-friendly cloud-connected Beacon software, try-before-you-buy program, and AI-enhanced welding performance provide significant value. Yup...the intersection of basic industrial manufacturing and the latest tech buzzwords! That's where we live.Cobots are the product we make and support, but the value we create for our customers is much bigger than a safe and easy to operate robot arm and welding arc. Our machines enable our customers to scale quickly, seize exciting new revenue opportunities, manage boring and repetitive tasks to improve quality of life for skilled welders, increase profitability and production predictability, and help them create an exciting advanced manufacturing environment for employees and prospects. All with machines that anyone in the company can set up and operate - no programmers required. Our environment blends the excitement of a rapid growth tech company, the stability of an industrial manufacturer, and the financial strength of PE backed and profitable financial performance.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have broad sales, management and leadership skills, business acumen, and documented success selling technology to industrial manufacturers. You will have succeeded in selling against a well-established status quo, both as an individual contributor and as a sales manager. Many of our prospects think of cobots as potentially "nice to have" rather than easy-to-use "must-have" machinery that can transform their production. So your job will be to train and coach our sales team to expertly use consultative sales techniques to help buyers visualize and quantify the impact of cobots. You will carry your own quota, allowing you to walk the talk as you grow and manage your team. You'll have considerable latitude and authority to help us improve our sales infrastructure, drawing on the nuanced understanding of sales methodology, process, playbooks, training and coaching you must bring to the role. As a sales manager you will have reorganized and optimized a sales team to expand sales in existing accounts, process a large volume of inbound leads, create projects in new logo accounts, and target key industries. You will be conversant in business finance and capital equipment procurement, and bring a combination of strategic perspective and detailed tactical and execution experience. Your recent colleagues will describe you as an exceptional sales coach who helps each member of your team unlock the greatest potential in themselves, and motivates them to do the work necessary for success and to become exceptional consultative sales people capable of guiding prospects through complex, high-value capital equipment purchases. And you'll be as expert and comfortable in one:one role plays and onboarding new reps, as you are presenting to boards of directors - both ours and our prospects'.Your experience will include growing both project-driven capital equipment sales and recurring revenue for ongoing support and advanced analytics. You'll work from our Nashville office with moderate supervision. You'll be comfortable traveling up to 50% of the time and you'll bring at least a bachelor's degree (technical and engineering disciplines are a plus), five years of sales management success, experience leveraging CRM and sales technology, and a humble attitude.
