AVR's capability to own and operate all aspects of large-scale developments is unique and stems from an extensive development history with over 100 projects built nationwide.Position ** The Director of Insurance will be responsible for managing and maintaining optimal insurance coverage for the companys diverse real estate portfolio. This role involves developing strategies to mitigate insurance risks, collaborating with various departments to ensure comprehensive coverage, and overseeing all insurance-related activities. The Director of Insurance will work closely with the finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure that the companys assets are adequately protected.Key *Develop and implement insurance strategies to manage and mitigate risks across the companys real estate portfolio.Oversee the procurement and renewal of insurance policies, ensuring optimal coverage and cost-effectiveness.Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to assess insurance needs and provide guidance on insurance-related matters.Manage relationships with insurance brokers, carriers, and other external partners.Conduct regular reviews of insurance policies and coverage to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Analyze and report on insurance claims, identifying trends and areas for improvement.Provide training and support to internal teams on insurance-related topics and best practices.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in insurance regulations to ensure the companys insurance program remains current and effective.****Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in insurance management, preferably within the real estate industry.Strong knowledge of insurance products, policies, and regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Proven track record of managing insurance programs and mitigating risks.Professional certifications such as CPCU, ARM, or similar are preferred.
