Regional Sales and Marketing DirectorOur company has a rich legacy of manufacturing expertise in complex electronic circuit boards, wire harnesses and complete electronic assemblies. Our main customer segments are in the military/aerospace, industrial, communications and medical markets. Our long-term clients have come to rely on us for on time commitments being met with very few defects. Difficult engineering problems or build scenarios come to our company because of our track record and recommendations from thought leaders in industry. The culture of the company is one of "can do" and we are looking to train/bring up the next leader through this position.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in technical outside sales as well as marketing of specialty B2B technical products. The candidate should possess a deep passion for technology. The role requires someone who can identify, cultivate, and secure new business opportunities. An existing network within the DoD and defense OEMs, industrial and medical accounts in the Midwest is a significant advantage.We are looking for a competitive Sales and Marketing professional to develop sales strategies and attract new clients as well as grow our business with existing clients. The successful salesperson will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve sales goals. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services. As an outside sales professional they will also research sales competition.We ae looking for someone in this position who also has experience and can show demonstrated success in generating demand through various marketing initiatives. The person should be familiar with modern e-marketing methods in social media, email marketing as well as crafting compelling messages to help generate interest in the company's' services. Traditional marketing methods including direct selling, trade show marketing and direct mail should also be in the persons' background. Examples of developing a marketing budget and plan for a B-B technology company would position the prospective candidate well.Key Responsibilities:• Find and establish new business relationships while maintaining existing partnerships.• Drive lead generation efforts through networking, research, and attendance at industry events as well as modern online marketing programs and strategies.• Deliver engaging sales presentations and develop competitive pricing proposals.• Oversee opportunity management, forecasting, and quoting processes.• Lead contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.• Collaborate with engineering and sales team to craft tailored, impactful proposals.• Develop and manage strategic partnerships to accelerate business growth.• Drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting through to contract execution.• Regularly update leadership on proposal status, forecasts, and key metrics.· Provide inputs to contact management system for client tracking.This position is designed to lead to a sales and marketing management role within 2-3 years.Qualifications:• Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience • Minimum of 3 years of online B2B marketing including e-mail marketing, social media marketing, trade show marketingProven sales experience with a track record of over-achieving quota.Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline managementFamiliarity with contact management softwareComputer use competency including Microsoft Teams, Zoom and other communication platformsStrong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated and driven.• Strong ability to engage with engineering teams and technical stakeholders.• Demonstrated success in securing business with major OEMs • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
