Position Location: San Jose, CA, Pleasanton, CA or Livonia, MI.We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Manager to lead initiatives for our automotive customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the automotive market, including quality standards such as PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), AEC-Q100 specifications, and emerging automotive industry trends. The role demands exceptional cross-functional collaboration, global team leadership, and the ability to present effectively to executive management. In addition, the Senior Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving sales activities, developing relationships with key clients, and ensuring the achievement of revenue targets. This role will include managing a team of Sales Representative (Sales Reps) professionals, overseeing the sales and pipeline, closely with other departments (engineering, legal, marketing (product and technical) and operations to ensure customer needs are met and business goals are achieved. The Senior Sales Manager is a strategic, results-driven leader, focused on expanding market share and maintaining long-term customer relationships within the semiconductor industry.RESPONSIBILITIES:Sales Strategy and Business Development: Develop and execute the sales strategy for automotive and semiconductor products and solutions in assigned markets, focusing on both existing and new business to achieve individual and team sales targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients within the semiconductor industry. Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities and developing strategies to meet customer needs.Sales Pipeline and Forecasting: Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, lead tracking, and work closely with the sales team and client to ensure the successful closing of deals and identification of new designs and business opportunities. Analyze sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Provide feedback to senior leadership regarding market conditions, competitor activities, and customer feedback.Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with automotive customers, ensuring their needs are met. Proactively address customer concerns and provide strategic.Prepare and deliver presentations to executive management, summarizing project updates, market insights, and strategic recommendations. Act as the primary point of contact for strategic customers, ensuring the company delivers customer centric service. Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of automotive industry trends, including electrification, autonomous vehicles, connected technologies and understanding of semiconductor products, manufacturing processes, and market trends. Maintain a deep understanding the company's Automotive products and solutions. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborate with product management, marketing, operations, and engineering teams to ensure that customer needs are aligned with product offerings and resolve technical issues.Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead contract negotiations and manage the terms and conditions of deals to maximize profitability and monitor post-sale activities to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with contract terms.EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master degree or MBA preferred).Experience: 8+ years of sales experience in the automotive industry, with expertise in quality standards such as PPAP and AEC-Q100, with a strong track record in the semiconductor or related high-tech industries. Experience in sales management and team leadership is essential.Sales Skills: Proven ability to lead complex sales processes, manage large deals, and develop new business opportunities. Strong understanding of the sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, and post-sale customer management.Excel and Power point competency required.Full-time position with significant travel to meet customers and prospects.
