Job Title: Account Manager (3PL) with Sales ResponsibilitiesLocation: Chicago, IL (Remote)Salary: Base: 50,000-60,000+CommissionJob Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing existing client relationships within the 3PL logistics sector, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction while identifying opportunities for sales growth. The role combines traditional account management with a focus on business development, helping to expand our client base and drive revenue.Key Responsibilities:Client Relationship Management:Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, offering exceptional customer service and maintaining long-term relationships.Ensure the timely and successful delivery of logistics solutions based on client needs and objectives.Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams (operations, customer service, etc.) to ensure seamless service execution.Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to ensure optimal service delivery.Sales & Business Development:Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts by uncovering additional logistics needs and cross-selling relevant services (e.g., warehousing, transportation, fulfillment).Proactively seek out new clients, leveraging the company's network and building new relationships to expand the customer base.Collaborate with the sales team to help drive business growth, assist in proposal creation, and negotiate contracts.Track and report on sales performance, including pipeline development, proposals, and closed deals.Support:Assist in onboarding new clients, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication of expectations.Resolve client concerns or issues promptly and effectively, escalating when necessary.Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure that services are aligned with client needs and expectations.Monitor and review client satisfaction regularly, providing feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement.Reporting & Administration:Regularly update CRM and other reporting tools with relevant client data and sales activities.Prepare and deliver regular performance reports to clients, showcasing value and suggesting areas for improvement.Assist with forecasting and setting sales goals aligned with company targets.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in account management, logistics, or sales, preferably in a 3PL or supply chain environment.Strong understanding of 3PL services and supply chain processes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.Proven ability to manage accounts and meet sales targets.Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with account management and sales within the logistics, warehousing, or transportation industry.Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in logistics and supply chain management.Benefits:Remote About Us: We're passionate about helping businesses streamline their supply chain and logistics operations.
