As an Industrial Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for a geographic region that consists of southwestern, Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and the surrounding area. As an Outside Sales Representative you will drive business efficiency, foster valuable partnerships, and contribute to the company's growth and competitive edge by identifying customers to generate new sales but also to maintain and grown business within currently existing customers. In this role, youll be selling or renting equipment such as pumps, compressors, and generators used primarily in industrial, construction and manufacturing industries. In order to be successful, you must have a strong desire to achieve results through helping companies make informed purchasing decisions that will help optimize their operation and meet business goals. A successful Sales Rep is also results oriented, organized, driven, competitive, understands market positioning, is able to influence and solve a customers need.Additional ResponsibilitiesIdentify and establish contact with prospective customers to generate sales.Conduct site assessments to provide solutions to customers Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and current customers.Responsible for all site evaluations, proposal requests. cost estimates, finalizing work orders, coordinating job assignments, and ensuring company and customer needs are being met.Stay apprised of industry trends and recommend marketing strategies that target specific industries, regions, or sectors to identify leads and sales opportunities.Contribute to the effectiveness of the sales & business development team by communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team memberEducationBachelors degree in an engineering or marketingIn lieu of a degree, at least two years of industrial, manufacturing, or construction sales.SkillsEffective oral and written communication skills with the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.Strong ability to build and maintain trusting relationships and partnershipsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to appropriately manage the complete sales lifecycle and competing priorities.High levels of integrity and ability to operate within established company frameworksStrong ability to influence and negotiate with diplomacy and tact.Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint This role does require regular regional or local travel and occasional overnight travel will be required. In order to perform this role, you are required to drive and have a valid driver's license.
