The Director of Disabilities and Inclusion Programs is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that promote inclusion and accessibility for individuals with disabilities within the JCC community. This role ensures that all programs and services are designed to meet the diverse needs of participants, fostering an environment of respect, dignity, and empowerment.Responsibilities· Design and implement inclusive programs tailored to teens and young adults with various abilities.· Create innovative program options for children ages 5-12 and outreach to recruit participants· Evaluate and enhance existing programs to ensure they meet current best practices in accessibility and inclusion.· Cultivate and sustain meaningful engagement with program participants and their families · Collaborate with other departments to integrate inclusive practices across all JCC offerings.· Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, agencies, and stakeholders, including OPWDD, self-direction coordinators and brokers, UJA Federation of New York, SANYS, and local school district personnel.· Develop and manage the budget for all department programs.· Oversee and ensure compliance with department grants· Work with the day camp leadership team to coordinate the summer inclusion program· Coordinate self-direction attendance, invoicing, and billing for all classes· Supervise department staff, including coordinators, class instructors, job coaches, vocational café manager, and internsQualifications· Experience working with children, teens, and adults of all abilities in an educational or community center setting· Program development and management, particularly in disabilities and inclusion.· Bachelor's degree in special education, social work, rehabilitation Services, or related field· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups.· Excellent communication and advocacy skills.· Experience in staff training and development.· Proficiency in budget management and grant oversight
