As an SDR, you will be responsible for outbound prospecting, engaging with decision-makers, and generating interest in OEwaves' advanced laser and photonic solutions. Your primary goal is to set up high-value meetings for our outside sales team by leveraging phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach.This role is ideal for someone with a technical background who is passionate about photonics and eager to explore the business and sales side of the industry. If you enjoy learning about cutting-edge technology and want to develop skills in sales and business development, this is a great opportunity to bridge both worlds.Key ResponsibilitiesProspect & Identify Leads- Research and identify potential customers in target industries (aerospace, defense, telecommunications, etc.).Outbound Engagement- Conduct cold calls, send personalized emails, and utilize LinkedIn to reach decision-makers and generate interest.Qualify & Nurture Leads- Assess prospects needs, budget, and timeline, and determine if they are a good fit for OEwaves' solutions.Schedule Sales Meetings- Set up discovery calls and product discussions for the outside sales team.CRM & Data Management- Keep accurate records of prospect interactions in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).Collaborate with Sales & Marketing- Work closely with the marketing and outside sales teams to refine messaging and outreach strategies.Track & Optimize Performance- Monitor outreach metrics, adjust strategies, and continuously improve conversion rates.Qualifications1-3 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or business development (preferably in high-tech, photonics, aerospace, or related industries).A technical background or strong interest in photonics, lasers, or RF technologies is a plus.Strong verbal and written communication skills with a persuasive and engaging approach.Ability to quickly learn and articulate technical concepts.Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales automation platforms.Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a proactive approach to prospecting.Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote sales team.Why Join OEwaves?Work with a team developing groundbreaking laser and photonic technologies for space, defense, and commercial applications.Competitive base salary with commission-based incentives.Career growth opportunities in a high-tech, innovation-driven environment.Hybrid work flexibility and a collaborative, fast-paced culture.If you're excited about working in deep tech sales, have a technical background, and want to help shape the future of laser and photonic technology, apply today!
