A multi-tasker extraordinaire with a proven capability to manage shop-in-shop, wholesale, outlet and online businesses for the Converse brand.Manages the Open-To-Buy (OTB), Financials: Sales, Markdowns, Receipts, Store Directives, Visual Merchandising. Executes merchandise assortments in accordance with customer demand, market trends, brand direction and fiscal accountability with a drive for results that ensures maximum sales and gross margin performance.Reporting to: Vice President of SalesRelationship Management with: Relationship Management with: CONVERSE Brand teams, Regional leads, Distributors and Sourcing teamsLocation: New York City, Midtown Manhattan - Fashion DistrictResponsibilities:MUST HAVE INTERNATIONAL SALES EXPERIENCE·Open To Buy: Understands retail financial metrics to analyze businesses and makes recommendations on how to drive the business based on sales, history & market trends·Reporting and Analysis: Manages weekly and seasonal recaps for all product categories·Purchase Order Management: Must be accurate in purchase order management at both the location and company levels; effectively navigates all systems (AS400) to track merchandise from production to in-store receipt·Financials: Recaps sales to align on targets to execute the seasonal plans & tie back to the merchandise strategies including sales, markdowns, receipt flow at both the total and location levels·Relationship Management: Leads through clear, timely, audience-specific communication and influence; Builds relationships through weekly communication and effective collaboration as a solution-oriented team member·Leadership: Motivates and mentors team members; Knows how to manage up, down and across to get results·Strategy: Knows how to build and sell strategy; Analyzes history, competitive landscape, current market and emerging data points to support strategy development·Voice: Serves as the voice for the customer on current trend, forecasts and strategic opportunities and risks·Partners: With Spain Field Team(s), Country Manager, Milan Office to communicate big ideas, key investments, strategies & special needs including daily interaction with teams to execute vision·Competitive Landscape: Understands competitive set, including pricing, style & key messaging and uses knowledge to make sound recommendations for the CONVERSE brandProfessional Knowledge & Experience:·5 to 7 years of global brand fashion apparel experience including: retail department stores/store-line, merchandising/buying, wholesale for brick-and-mortar, online/digital, full-price and outlet channels·Experience working with International Distributors·Proven ability to manage operational needs with accounts spanning: accounting, logistics, visual shops·Unshakably organized; into and on top of the right details; predictable; multi-tasker extraordinaire·Superb multicultural communication and relationship management experience·Experience using NuOrder·Strong analytic, retail math and financial skillset·Proven ability to work in a high energy environment at the speed of fashion with ever-changing priorities·Open to the future possibility of international business travel as business needs may requireEducational Background:·College degree, or equivalent professional work experience, requiredAbout G-III Apparel Group, Ltd. | G-III excels at bringing excitement and confidence to customers through the fashion we create. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.
