OP achieves its work through four key programs: Brilliant Baby, Kindergarten to College, College Access, and College Completion and serves as a convener and grantmaker for local community organizations to achieve collective impact.Position SummaryThe Senior Manager of Impact & Evaluation leads short - and long-term data monitoring and continuous improvement evaluation activities for OP's program teams. This role reports to the Director of Impact & Evaluation. The Senior Manager sets priorities for and implements data gathering, data monitoring, and data analysis in alignment with the Director's overall evaluation strategy to promote data integrity, a culture of data-informed decision-making, and effective programming. The Senior Manager will collaborate with the Impact & Evaluation team to provide program data for reports and other deliverables, and will lead a subcommittee of staff from each program team, the Partnerships team, and the Associate Manager for Data and CRM Systems to drive forward program data improvement priorities. This role is instrumental in OP's goals to scale programming and secure ongoing program funding. Who You AreYou are a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative professional with a passion for data-driven decision-making and community impact in the field of education. You have experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems to collect and manage program data. You are an experienced project and people manager with a background in research design and program evaluation. You are comfortable working with the real-world complexity of non-profit program data and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals.What You Will Do (Duties and Responsibilities)Program Evaluation, Data Monitoring, & StrategyLead short- and long-term data monitoring and continuous improvement evaluation activities.Set priorities for data gathering, data monitoring process improvements, and analysis in alignment with strategic goals.Lead the implementation of the organization's strategic evaluation strategy for program data and consistency across the program continuum from cradle-to-career.Direct the development and implementation of measurement of organizational outcomes, including college-bound identity and economic mobility.Collaboration & Thought PartnershipAct as a thought partner to leadership and program teams around data and continuous improvement.Collaborate with the Impact & Evaluation Manager to provide program data and analysis for reporting and collective impact initiatives.Salesforce & Data ManagementCollaborate with the Associate Manager of Data & CRM Systems on Salesforce system maintenance and enhancements.Use Salesforce to increase data transparency and consistency, working with consultants and OP teams on reports and dashboards.Work with the Associate Manager to ensure district and charter enrollment data is received and imported into the Salesforce and Outcome Tracker CRM systems.Supervision & Team LeadershipLead a subcommittee of staff from each program team, the Partnerships team (the "Power Users"), and the Associate Manager, supervising data cleaning and monitoring duties.Lead the Power User application, selection, and supervision process.Collaborate with Power Users on data monitoring, analysis, and interpretation, providing recommendations to team Directors and other leadership for continuous improvement.Compliance & Ethical Data UseEnsure adherence to data protocols and ethics, including secure data sharing and obtaining necessary consents.Submit the OUSD Research Application annually and oversee compliance with data collection and reporting standards.Collaborate with program teams to develop, implement, and update Data Sharing Agreements with school partners.Process Improvement & AutomationDirect plans to create automations and efficiencies for program scaling, collaborating with Associate Manager and Salesforce consultants.Document recurring processes and procedures in the Data Policies and Procedures Handbook.Organizational Engagement & Other DutiesAttend and participate in Oakland Promise meetings.Participate in one fall and one spring event, such as the Oakland Promise Awards Ceremony, as well as all other mandatory events.Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.Key Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Research design and program evaluation proficiency. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Comfortability with and interest in the real-world complexity of non-profit data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.Professional CharacteristicsHighly organized and detail-oriented.Self-motivated and able to work independently.Ability to work well with different teams with competing priorities.Committed to bettering the Oakland community. Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.3+ years experience with non-profit program data continuous improvement.Demonstrated experience with project and people management.Demonstrated experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.Preferred QualificationsEducation: Master's Degree in a related field.Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, R)3+ years of professional experience in educational equity in a nonprofit context. Experience with longitudinal data collection.Compensation and BenefitsFull time exempt position.Salary range for this position is $105-120k commensurate with experience and qualifications.Oakland Promise currently has a hybrid work policy.
