Job Title: District Sales ManagerReports To: Sales Director - AmericasSubordinates: Area Sales Managers related to the specific districtLocation: Depending on the districtJob MissionA key aspect of future growth involves executing an ambitious strategy, including building a scalable and performance-driven organization. The District Sales Manager plays a crucial role in bridging strategy and execution by leading the development and implementation of strategic projects, including acquisitions. This role contributes to shaping and equipping the organization for future growth, driving initiatives to achieve targets in the district, and ensuring alignment with strategic commitments and goals.Examples of projects related to this role:Developing sales and process initiatives to support business growth.Producing tools and reports to drive performance.Streamlining processes for increased efficiency.The role supports the expansion of profitable sales and market share of Vacuum Automation, Robotic Gripping, and related products by developing Area Sales Managers, channel partners, and customers within the assigned district.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement district and territory business plans in line with company goals.Manage and expand sales channels for all industrial Vacuum Automation, Robotic Gripping, and Robotic Foam Gripping products and accessories.Document and oversee sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities using Salesforce CRM and Sales Excellence Processes.Conduct monthly reviews with distributors and other channel partners to drive district growth.Provide technical support to customers and channel partners for Vacuum Automation and Robotic Gripping solutions.Collaborate with other divisions and departments to develop and manage sales activities within the district.Educate customers and sales channels on new products, successful applications, and available support tools.Participate in joint and direct sales calls based on strategic account potential.Deliver technical training for sales partners, OEMs, robotic integrators, and end-user customers via webinars and site visits.Take part in annual distributor/rep meetings, events, and activities.Offer on-site customer service and technical support for product lines.Assist in trade show preparation and coverage as needed.Provide weekly and monthly updates on significant territory activities, opportunities, and challenges.Work closely with internal partners to achieve territory goals.Manage an operating budget that balances cost efficiency with necessary expenditures for effective territory management.This role requires adherence to the company's Code of Conduct, values, mission, and operational routines. Travel to domestic and international locations may be required.Key InterfacesReports directly to the Sales Director - Americas. Collaborates closely with the Americas Team, internal departments, and key stakeholders within the organization.Skills & AbilitiesStrong leadership and decision-making abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).General understanding of pneumatics and pneumatic systems.Familiarity with online webinar/conferencing tools (Teams, GoToMeeting, etc.).Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.Background in working with manufacturer distributors is advantageous.Industrial product sales experience preferred.Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.Preferred CompetenciesBusiness Development: Identifies and capitalizes on commercial opportunities to drive business growth.Initiative & Responsibility: Takes ownership of tasks and delivers results proactively.Execution: Follows company procedures, executes plans with determination, and achieves high-quality outcomes.Innovation: Introduces fresh ideas, embraces change, and promotes innovation.Teamwork: Collaborates effectively with colleagues, shares knowledge, and supports team objectives.Experience & Educational BackgroundBachelor's degree required.5 - 8 years of technical sales experience, including managing a sales team, preferably in a distribution environment.TravelUp to or exceeding 50% travel required.Work EnvironmentRemote work option available.Permanent, full-time position.
