Join us as a Business Development Director and play a critical role in advancing our strategic initiatives.Hengrui is a ...Key ResponsibilitiesDrive deal sourcing and evaluation activities, including identifying potential opportunities, assessing strategic fit, and preparing management presentations for internal decision-making.Develop and utilize financial models to evaluate potential deals, such as in-licensing, out-licensing, M&A, and equity investments.Conduct in-depth market research, including epidemiology studies, competitive analysis, market share projections, and treatment landscape evaluations. Translate findings into actionable commercial strategies that align with organizational goals.Lead the structuring and negotiation of term sheets and contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory compliance.Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including R&D, legal, finance, and operations, to support due diligence and ensure successful transaction execution.Apply deep understanding of therapeutic areas (non-oncology such as cardiometabolic & renal preferred) and industry trends to identify high-value opportunities and develop innovative partnership models.Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture that supports professional growth.Education/**Minimum bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, life sciences, medicine, or a related field; advanced degree (master's, Ph.D. or MBA) preferred.Strong financial acumen with proven experience in financial modeling and valuation. Previous investment banking or consulting experience preferred.Demonstrated expertise in completing end-to-end business development tasks, including deal sourcing and evaluation, with a successful track record in closing complex transactions under minimal supervision (deal sheet required).At least 10 years (for bachelor's) or 5 years (for master's and above) of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with solid understanding about drug discovery and development and commercialization.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; fluency in Chinese is a plus.Ability to synthesize complex scientific and market data into clear, actionable insights.A structured thinker and problem solver with strong strategic and analytical skills.
