This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader with expertise in designing advanced science and technology facilities, particularly in higher education and the private sector. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, business developer, and industry influencer"”someone who can drive firmwide leadership while expanding our presence in this innovative sector.This role is a 50/50 blend of business development, marketing, and firmwide leadership, requiring a balance of client engagement, thought leadership, and project execution. The position follows a hybrid work model, with four days in the studio and one day remote.What You'll DoStrategic Leadership & Business DevelopmentLead the firm's Science & Technology practice on the West Coast, driving strategic vision and growth.Develop and execute business development strategies, identifying new opportunities and expanding client relationships in higher education and private-sector science and technology projects.Serve as a thought leader, representing the firm at industry conferences, panels, and networking events.Spearhead marketing initiatives, writing proposals, delivering presentations, and securing major project wins.Project & Client LeadershipCollaborate with sciences, S&T, universities, research institutions, and private-sector clients to develop innovative science and technology environments.Ensure projects align with industry best practices, sustainability goals, and evolving technological needs.Oversee cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between architects, designers, engineers, and consultants.Stay at the forefront of industry trends, guiding clients through the latest advancements in lab design, research spaces, and technology-driven facilities.Team Mentorship & Firmwide InfluenceLead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, ensuring professional growth and technical excellence.Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging design excellence and continuous learning within the firm.Work closely with firm leadership to shape the future direction of the Science & Technology practice.What You BringBachelor's degree in Architecture (Master's preferred)CA or NCARB Architecture License is mandatory10+ years of experience designing science & technology facilities, with a focus on higher education and private-sector projects.Proven track record in business development, marketing, and strategic planning.Deep understanding of building codes, regulations, and technical standards related to science and technology spaces.Registered Architect with strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.Why Join Us?Impactful Work - Shape the future of science, technology, and innovation spaces.Leadership Opportunity - Be at the forefront of firmwide strategy and growth.Collaborative Culture - Join a team that values teamwork, mentorship, and innovation.Competitive Compensation & Benefits - Salary: $165-200,000/year, (DEO), Bonuses, Robust medical, dental, vision, 401k, and professional development opportunities.Apply Today!
