JOB SUMMARY:The position shall function as the Principal Engineer who provides authoritative overview and recommendations that have a far-reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities of the company, including R&D. Must have the ability to understand technical language and complex specification requirements associated with materials and fabrication of modular chiller plants. Act as a project engineering to maintains overall design responsibility for specific Projects to which he/she has been assigned, and is the Primary contact for the Project Manager, Workshops, Vendors, and the Client.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSABILITIES:•Provide engineering expertise, design development, and technical support for assigned projects. Responsible for implementation of value engineering within the group.•Assist Sales in the technical review of proposal documents and provide other technical support as needed.•Assist and support company process improvements such as DCAP, procurement packages, DDTS, engineering automation and earned value reporting.•Must be efficient in the use of Deviation Management System (DMS) and is responsible to ensure all DMS items are process within the time limits established. Responsible for similar performance of all direct reports.•Develop new ideas and design concepts, discuss technical and routine project reviews, manage engineering job progress and extensive interface with project management group.•Ongoing communication with TEi's manufacturing facilities to discuss ongoing projects and Continuous Improvement of assigned products.•Provide forecasted engineering manhour expenditures once per month•Working with Scheduling, identify resource needs and participate in the process of locating, evaluating, selecting and training of the needed resources.•Extensive customer and Shop interface at project stage, installation, commissioning, and warranty period. Provide technical direction, supervise activities, and provide leadership in technical decision-making process.•Troubleshooting and technical assistance to address warranty issues.•Motivate personnel for better performance and encourage entrepreneurial spirit, facilitate employee skill enhancement. Recommend training courses/programs for direct reports.•Interaction with Company Project Management and Workshops.•Responsible for mechanical/structural design in compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.• Preparation and issuance of requisitions for long lead items, specialty products andaccessories.• Generate job specific Installation and Operations Manual and submit to the client.• Develop new ideas and design concepts to reduce cost.• Performs other duties as assigned.• Knowledge of applicable industrial standards for product line.• Assist with the development and implementation of cost reduction initiatives withinengineering to increase competitiveness and productivity as well as enhance engineeringcapabilities to achieve the same.• Develops & maintains successful relationships with customersEDUCATION:• Bachelor and/or Master of Science Degree in Chemical, Mechanical and/or ElectricalEngineering.EXPERIENCE:• 15+ years of relevant experience in the specific industry• Extensive technical knowledge of the Modularization, Chillers and Cooling Systems.• Strong leader, good communication, ability to motivate & provides clear direction• Excellent Organizational and Analytical Skills• Excellent technical writing skills• Ability to work under deadlines
