We ensure you have the support, tools and opportunities you need to get the job done, grow as an individual, and excel in your hospitality career.Benefits: We offer a comprehensive full-time benefits package consisting of: medical, dental, vision, pet discount program, identity theft protection, Earned Wage Access to get paid before payday, pre-paid legal support, flexible spending accounts, 401K, life, critical accident, critical illness, short- & long-term disability, paid time off, wellness programs, wonderful hotel discounts and much more!Job Overview: Assists the Director of Sales in the management, coordination and execution of items related to the marketing and sales operation of the hotel.Compensation: $80,000-85,000 annually + potential for Quarterly incentives.The IDEAL candidate will have at least 3-5 years of Hotel Sales experience, CITY experience, and Marriott brand background preferredResponsibilities and Duties:• Plan, direct, organize and control departmental activities such as telemarketing, outside sales calls, conducting walking tours, entertaining clients, developing and soliciting new leads, presenting and preparing written proposals and contracts.• Supervise sales staff through account review, correspondence review and coaching toward improvement.• Gather, organize and disseminate both written and verbal information regarding the specific requirements of client's events to the appropriate departments and individual clients in a prompt, accurate, profitable, pleasant, and professional manner.• Develop target lists and action plans for account solicitation. Assist in assignment and distribution of leads. Provide guidance in prospecting and qualifying potential leads.• Participate where appropriate in related trade civic/business related functions as a representative of in the promotion of the property and/or the city.• Coordinate, review and evaluate the sales department portion of the monthly forecast.• Assist the Director of Sales in the development of the marketing plan and related presentations.• In the absence of the Director of Sales, monitor the entire sales operation.• Assist the Director in special projects.• Type contracts, menus, letters and reports.• Performs other related duties as assigned.Specific Job Knowledge and Skills:•Strong knowledge of the geographic designated market.• Excellent working knowledge of the English language both written and oral to complete forms, correspondence and communicate with co-workers and customers.• Basic mathematical skills that allow for calculation of room blocks, average rates and forecast information.• Ability to travel throughout designated markets in a timely manner.• Ability to organize detailed information.• Analytical ability to decipher data and make sound decisions.Education:Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferredHigh school diploma or its equivalent required Experience:3-5 years Hotel or Hospitality Sales Experience.Strong knowledge of sales techniques with strong skills and ability to negotiate and close sales.Ability to learn, follow and maintain effective sales processes designed to attain maximum Burbank/Los Angeles Hotel Sales City Experience Previous Marriott brand background preferredOther:Spire Hospitality, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and veteransEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
