Company Overview:Be-Aviv is a New York City-based real estate investment firm and fund administrator, specializing in acquiring and managing real estate and debt investments. Our firm focuses on high-quality, value-driven opportunities in the commercial real estate (CRE) market. We are currently expanding our debt fund operations and are seeking an experienced Vice President of Acquisitions and Originations to manage key processes and grow our portfolio.Job Summary:The Vice President of Acquisitions and Originations will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the end-to-end processes involved in commercial real estate debt investments. This includes establishing working procedures, developing due diligence processes, implementing control measures, and ensuring efficient loan servicing. The VP will also focus on sourcing, underwriting, and executing debt opportunities, while ensuring a structured and controlled environment.Key Responsibilities:Process Implementation: Develop, implement, and optimize working procedures and operational frameworks for sourcing, underwriting, and managing debt investments.Due Diligence Process: Lead comprehensive due diligence processes for potential loan originations and acquisitions, ensuring thorough risk assessments and adherence to internal guidelines.Control Systems: Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency throughout all stages of loan origination and servicing.Loan Servicing: Oversee loan servicing operations, ensuring that all loans are properly monitored, payments are tracked, and any issues are addressed in a timely manner.Loan Origination and Acquisition: Source and originate direct commercial real estate loans, and acquire performing and non-performing loans, ensuring that all deals align with the firm's risk-return profile.Underwriting Oversight: Supervise the underwriting of CRE loans, ensuring thorough analysis of borrower creditworthiness, property fundamentals, and market conditions.Risk Management: Ensure proper identification and mitigation of risks in loan transactions, working closely with the asset management team.Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with brokers, borrowers, lenders, and industry professionals to facilitate deal flow and business development.Leadership: Collaborate with senior management to define and execute the strategy for Be-Aviv's debt platform, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial real estate debt origination, acquisitions, or loan servicing.Expertise in establishing working procedures, due diligence, and loan servicing within a structured environment.Strong understanding of CRE lending, loan structuring, underwriting, and controls.Proven experience in implementing and managing processes in a fast-paced setting.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
