This position is a mid-level consultant position that requires candidates to have between 5 to 10 years of experience in a Health Actuarial or Medical Economics role and are qualified as a Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (FSA or ASA). This role will have opportunities to support the Services, Risk, and Technology lines of business of Havarti and work closely with the Chief Actuary. The role will involve solving business problems using actuarial and data analysis, project management, and internal and external stakeholder communication. What you will doHavarti Risk is a rapidly growing company, and the Actuarial Director will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments across Havarti's business units with a primary focus on the Services business unit.With regards to the Services business unit, the Actuarial Director will work with Havarti's Chief Actuary and other members of the actuarial team on consulting projects in the following areas:· Building Return on Investment (ROI) models for emerging health innovators· Building financial or actuarial models for health plans or other risk bearing organizations· Conducting technical and consulting reviews of financial / ROI models built by others in the team· Developing presentations and reports· Supporting project management to ensure quality client outcomes are delivered timely and within budget· Supporting client's data needs through data requests, reviewing, and analyzing client data to extract required informationWith regards to the Risk and Technology business units, the Actuarial Director may work with other members of the Havarti Leadership Team to support initiatives.RequirementsEducation and work experience1. Qualified as a Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (FSA or ASA)2. 5-10 years in a Health Actuarial or Healthcare Medical Economics roleSkills and Qualifications1. Knowledge of the healthcare industry2. Knowledge of actuarial principles and processes3. Proficiency in the use of excel and statistical programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python)4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills5. Excellent oral and written communication skills6. Willing to travel occasionally as necessary 7. Flexibility and adaptability to excel in a fast-changing environment8. Located within 100 miles of either Minneapolis, Minnesota or our Indianapolis, Indiana headquarters
