About the TeamAeroTEC's Sales & Marketing Department provides comprehensive, full-service business development, sales, and customer Relations services to the AeroTEC organization. The department is responsible for sales strategy, new business development, customer relations and marketing.About the RoleAs a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing client relationships across the aerospace industry. This includes working with Aerospace OEMs, Aircraft Operators, and Modifiers to build strong, long-lasting partnerships. You will be actively involved in pre-sales activities, such as shaping requirements, responding to sources sought and Requests for Information, and collaborating with Program and Engineering teams to develop winning proposals. From initial engagement through final delivery, you will oversee the entire sales process, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between clients and internal teams. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales & Marketing, you will be instrumental in driving business growth and extending AeroTECs presence within the aerospace sector.In This Role You Will:Implement Market Strategies: Execute AeroTEC's commercial & defense market strategies and meet business growth targets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the aerospace and aviation sectors.New Business Pursuits: Take full accountability for all new business pursuits from the receipt of customer requests to contract award. Ensure a smooth transition from sales to project delivery.Customer Communications: Manage all customer communications, including contract negotiations, updates, and follow-ups. Lead customer satisfaction surveys to ensure positive relationships and identify areas for improvement.Pricing Strategies: Develop and implement pricing strategies for customer proposals, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability for AeroTEC.Business Forecasting: Support the business forecast process, including tracking sales activities and developing an associated sales action plan to achieve revenue targets.Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key program executive officers, contracting specialists, and program managers, positioning AeroTEC as a trusted partner in the aerospace sector.Competitive Analysis: Monitor and assess the competitive landscape by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, and marketing techniques to stay ahead of the competition.Consultative Selling: Identify customer needs and position AeroTEC solutions using a consultative selling approach. Collaborate closely with in-house subject matter experts to ensure the solutions meet customer requirements.Business Development Tools & Processes: Contribute to improving business development tools and processes to increase efficiency, streamline sales cycles, and optimize client engagement.Other Responsibilities: Complete additional projects and tasks as assigned by the manager, contributing to the overall success of the sales team and AeroTEC.QualificationsThe Skills You Will Bring (Minimum):EducationBachelor's degree (BSc in Engineering preferred).Experience10+ years' experience in Aerospace, Aviation or related field. 3+ years' experience selling engineering services & solutions to Aerospace OEM's, Aircraft Operators and Modifiers.Experience in selling to both commercial and government/defense customers is a big plus.Proven track record in building customer partnerships and developing profitable revenue growth.Prior experience with aircraft modification engineering and flight testing would be a definite plus.Program management background would be a plus.Good knowledge of laws and regulations governing contracts and export control.Ability to travel 50% of the time on average.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear.
