Job Summary:The Key Account Sales Manager will be responsible for managing key retail accounts, planning promotions, and forecasting sales to ensure seamless execution. This role requires a strong financial understanding to develop P&L plans for each account, implement lift forecasts, and secure inventory. The ideal candidate will have experience working with brokers, analyzing market data, and collaborating with marketing teams to provide the necessary sales tools. This position also involves traveling as needed to meet with key accounts.Key Responsibilities:Account & Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key national and regional retail accounts to drive business growth.Financial Planning & P&L Management: Analyze account profitability, develop P&L plans, and ensure financial alignment with sales objectives.Sales Forecasting & Inventory Planning:Develop accurate 3-6 month sales forecasts based on industry trends and Circana (IRI/Nielsen) data.Implement lift forecasts for promotions to secure inventory and ensure execution.Work with internal teams to ensure sufficient stock levels for planned promotional periods.Promotional Planning & Execution:Develop and execute promotional programs that align with retailer strategies.Communicate lift expectations and work with supply chain teams to prevent inventory shortages.Retail Program & Category Management:Monitor and align category reset schedules with corporate sales strategies.Work with brokers to understand retailer-specific programs and requirements.Marketing & Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop sales tools, presentations, and promotional materials that align with retailer needs.Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze sales trends, market insights, and Circana (IRI/Nielsen) data to identify opportunities and make strategic recommendations.Travel Requirements: Attend meetings with key accounts as needed to maintain strong relationships and support sales initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field preferred.2-3+ years of experience in key account management, sales, or category management within the food industry is preferred. Strong understanding of financial structures, P&L planning, and promotional forecasting.Experience with sales forecasting, lift forecasts, and securing inventory for promotional execution.Proficiency in Circana (IRI/Nielsen) or similar market data tools.Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with brokers, retailers, and marketing teams.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Travel required as needed for meetings with key accounts.
