POSITION: WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS SPECIALISTAllied Construction Industries (ACI) is a not-for-profit trade association serving the Cincinnati region's commercial construction industry. The commercial construction sector in the Cincinnati region is responsible for $9.2B in economic activity annually and 54,282 jobs. ACI's workforce solutions are designed to strengthen pathways to careers in construction, upskill incumbent employees, and develop the next generation of construction industry leaders. ACI is looking for a Workforce Solutions Specialist to join the team. The person in this role will be focused on education and training at ACI for youth and adults. This is an opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives and careers of people and companies in the Cincinnati region.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages administrative functions for education and training programs, including but not limited to communicating with trainers, facilitators, and participants, ordering materials, food, and supplies as appropriate, coordinating the department calendar, engaging in pertinent follow-up, and more to ensure every education and training experience is seamless and memorable for participants.Manages the facilitation of education and training programs, including but not limited to assisting with recruitment, preparing classrooms and training spaces, communicating with partners and stakeholders, tracking participants through program or training cycles, and following through with completion protocols (updating online systems, distributing certificates and certification cards, etc.).Engages with youth through our K-12 construction career programming as well as with adults seeking to upskill or embark upon a career in construction.Communicates program opportunities with school administrators, member companies and employers at large, and training partners; helps to recruit participants for classes and events.Administers & proctors exams/certifications/assessments, e.g., NCCER, WorkKeys, etc. (prior experience not required - ACI will train on this) Acts as an ACI ambassador in the communityPlease note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
