SUMMARYAt InterVenn Biosciences, our mission is to advance a new era of personalized medicine by decoding the human glycoproteome - glycosylated proteins which are responsible for driving protein function - revealing a rich source of biological insights that has the potential to significantly improve drug development and patient outcomes. Our GlycoVisionâ„¢ platform integrates machine learning with high performance liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-MS) instruments to develop clinically relevant glycopeptide panels to be used for pre-clinical research, clinical development and diagnostics.We're seeking an experienced Head of Sales with a demonstrated history of achieving aggressive sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the biotech industry. This role will focus on developing and executing the overall sales strategy of the company and accelerating revenue growth. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Develop in-depth knowledge of InterVenn's products and servicesRepresent InterVenn's products and services, effectively communicate how our solutions meet the needs of physicians, researchers, and biopharma organizationsIdentify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business opportunitiesWork closely with Product Management to understand the latest market intelligenceDevelop and implement a territory action plan and adjust sales techniques according to interactions and results in the fieldPrepare concise and accurate reports, proposals and other required documentation for executive-level presentationsSKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSAbility to establish relationships with academic researchersA minimum of 5 years of full-cycle sales experience within the biotech and pharmaceutical industriesBachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry or equivalentDeep understanding of the methodologies and technologies used to study the proteomeAbility to effectively communicate the use of glycoproteomic technology within drug developmentExcellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skillsStrong ability to balance persuasion with professionalismAbility to travel within the Greater San Francisco Bay Area at least 50% of the time.
