Join Our Team! CornerStone Staffing is excited to announce a new opening for a Computer Hardware Installation Technician to join a leading IT Service Provider! Title: Computer Hardware Installation Tech Pay: $16.00 Start date: ASAP Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm Flexible to work OT and Saturday when needed Location: Flexible to be able to commute within the DFW metro-plex Job Responsibilities: Preparation of new equipment - load software, name the machine, join the domain, and box and ship the laptop or desktop. Basic IT help desk functions - help users who received new equipment, cannot print, or need a password update. Conduct hardware installations, replacements, and upgrades according to technical specifications and manufacturer guidelines. Perform desktop computer and laptop deployments, including device setup, configuration, and testing. Manage retired equipment - Wipe, test, and reloading software on retired equipment picked up from our Client's location for repurposing or disposal. Flexible to travel to client site for: Delivery and pickup of equipment. Installation of new hardware to end user with full testing and verification the user is ready to work. Moves/relocation of equipment - uninstall, move, and reinstall. Help desk functions - assist the Client's IT Technicians in completing service tickets. Qualifications: MUST have 1-3 years' experience in a similar role or equivalent training / education Field service experience preferred Able to be on time and commit to the position Physical capability to stand, move and lift up to 40 lbs. Strong attention to detail Proficiency in hardware installation and configuration, including assembling and disassembling desktop computers, installing expansion cards, and configuring BIOS settings. Basic understanding of computer hardware components and peripherals, such as monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, and scanners.
