The Territory Sales Representative (TSR) is responsible for planning and managing territory activities to achieve sales and market share growth utilizing approved sales and marketing strategy and tools while providing excellent customer service to all customers in territory. The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for sales and administration of their territory.Location: Central New Jersey WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?Competitive Salary plus commission.Company Vehicle and Gas CardDental/Vision/Medical benefits.Life Insurance.Health Spending Account.Employee Support and Mental Wellness.Competitive matched retirement savings program - 401k (US) / RRSP (Canada).Be part of a long standing and stable industry leader.WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE:Develop relationships and grow sales with assigned distribution customers in territoryFrequently contact roofing contractors, remodelers, builders, and architects to drive demandPresent products and programs to qualified distributors and end users on a weekly basisPerform product knowledge (PK) training sessions with customersManage territory pricing based on competitive situationsFollow up on inquiries from customers or IKO administration in a timely fashionSubmittal of weekly Intelligence Reports in a timely fashionManage customer accounts receivable balance and deductionsInvestigate and process product quality complaints in territoryOrganize and execute a business plan to meet territory sales goals and customer needsUtilize approved sales/marketing tools within budgetIncrease IKO market share in territoryTimely and effective communication of market and competitive information as well as requests for pricing or payment exceptions.Develop relationships and grow sales with assigned distribution customers in territory.Attend meetings, functions and company provided training as requiredManage customer accounts receivable balance and deductionsAdhere to Health and Safety policies as well as IKO Vehicle policiesAny other responsibilities as assignedOUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:Strong attention to detail with a professional and results-driven attitude.Proficient in Microsoft Office and other essential business software.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to task completion.Proactive, deadline-focused, and adept at managing multiple priorities.Capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Skilled in engaging end users and executing "pull-through" sales techniques.Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.Work EnvironmentWork is generally performed within a customer retail, distribution or home office environment.Physical DemandsMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the timeMust be able to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends) to complete tasks as assignedThe person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printerTravelUp to 100% travel may be requiredMust be willing to consider relocation for future opportunities.Required Education/ExperienceAssociates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.Driver's License in good standing required.3 years of prior sales experience in building products industry preferredAdditional/Preferred RequirementsPrior sales experience calling on roofing contractors, builders and/or architects preferredPrior professional sales training preferredDirect ReportsNoneWork AuthorizationMust be authorized to work in the United States of America
