Looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our Project Risk/Construction team in our Seattle office. This is a hybrid role so must be local for consideration. Description:The Senior Account Executive is one of the primary business contacts for Clients and is responsible for possessing and applying knowledge of industry trends and related regulations while servicing and marketing complex Clients accounts innovatively and efficiently. This position shall also coordinate Lockton resources and develop and maintain favorable internal and external relationships, with the end goal of providing the highest level of customer service by meeting or exceeding industry standards.Responsibilities:Understand and perform marketing and account services to provide the broadest and most competitive quality product for Lockton clientsInformed of the clients overall business, operations, and risk management needs; anticipate when and how to respondAdvanced knowledge of insurance industry developments and all products available in the insurance marketplaceDevelop and maintain dependable working relationships with carriers and other providersManage marketing strategies and selection for complex new and renewal business and maintain communication with the account team during the entire marketing process to protect current business and secure new businessBuild and maintain effective relationships with clients to provide the best possible service on a timely basis. Demonstrate the ability to instill confidence and comfort with the clientCoordinate the renewal of current client business:Provide a renewal notice to Producer and set up renewal meeting 120 days prior;Complete exposure checklist;Create and update coverage specifications;Deliver submission to markets;Review quotes and prepare proposal;Arrange and perform renewal presentation to the client;Bind coverage with underwriters before expiration;Make instructions for renewal to the company;Process renewal account with the assistance of the Account Administrator and Account Manager;Review work prepared by the Account Administrator and Account Manager;Prepare summaries, complete final policy checks, close items to discuss in proposal mailing, or deliver policies to clientUndertake responsibility for new business as directedRespond to and fulfill the requirements generated by the Renewal Assistance Program (RAP) report; update the RAP Report when a task is completedWork with Accounting to resolve accounting criticismsAid the Account Administrator on auditsParticipate with Producer in the decision-making process on client credit balances over 90 daysMay assist collection supervisor and Producer in collection effortsAccountable for the development, implementation, and monitoring of client service plansResponsible for the preparation and delivery of stewardship reportsOversee, direct, plan, and schedule the work of others, as required. May train and give technical supervision to assigned associates. Has ultimate responsibility for the accuracy of work processed by the Account Administrator, Account Manager, and othersProcess policy endorsements with the assistance of the Account Administrator and Account ManagerPerform tasks not assigned to the Account Administrator or Account ManagerArrange for loss run schedules for clients, when appropriatePrepare written correspondence, reports, and analyses, as neededAnalyze situations, identify problems, recommend solutions, and evaluate outcomesRespond promptly to the requests and needs of clients and Lockton associatesMake a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and continuously strive to improve service to the customerMotivate, instruct, and promote teamwork and associate developmentKeep abreast of market conditions and new productsMake decisions in compliance with established Lockton standards of quality performance and serviceUnderstand when to proceed alone and when to involve the Producer or othersInterface with top management of other businesses, representing Lockton in the highest professional mannerAccumulate required continuing education credits to maintain a current insurance licenseAttend position-related seminars/classes, carrier functions, and social events as requiredPerform other work-related duties as assignedRequired Skills:Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalentTypically, more than ten years of Client services experience is requiredMust have experience with wrap ups, builders risk, project risk, OCIPs, and CCIPsMinimum of seven years of working knowledge of commercial property and casualty coverages and services requiredAt least five years of advanced/Account Executive level experience marketing and servicing the insurance needs of commercial accounts requiredStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)Demonstrates professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.Demonstrates strong working knowledge and experience within the brokerage industryUnderstands industry trends and governmental regulationsAbility to attend industry training sessions company as requiredStrong attention to detail requiredReadiness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the insurance industry by successful completion of extended insurance education beyond continuing education requirements as neededOrganizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time-sensitive deadlines.Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company informationMust have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, project team members, and associates at all levels of responsibility, representing Lockton in the highest professional manorAbility to travel by automobile and aircraft and be away from home more than one day and nightLegally able to work in the United StatesThis position may be eligible for annual discretionary bonus consideration.Lockton offers a competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, 401k plus match, life, salary continuation, long-term disability, wellness program, flexible spending accounts, legal benefit, identity theft protection, accident insurance, critical illness, hospital indemnity, pet insurance, and mental health benefits.
