AIT Worldwide Logistics is a global freight forwarder that helps companies grow by expanding access to markets all over the world where they can sell and/or procure their raw materials, components and finished goods.OverviewThe Domestic Customer Account Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of, and expanding, the client relationship. In addition, the role will be responsible for customer service (24/7), tracking, routing, problem resolution, vendor compliance, account profitability, and all other assigned projects as dictated by the needs of the client. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills while working in a high volume and fast paced environment. The Customer Account Manager is the primary point of contact for a large revenue-producing and more complex customer base responsible for all steps in the logistics process for these customer(s), which may not be routine in nature.**High visibility role acting as the primary contact for larger, more complex or high-revenue producing customers, responsible for the outcome of assigned projects and customized client solutions.Main point of contact for clients supporting all of their logistics needs from beginning to end, *Ability to quote and route freight across multiple transportation channels and servicesTrack and trace shipments dailyAble to troubleshoot and overcome operational challengesAct as the local point-of-contact for all client inquiries, both operational and sales relatedProvide timely analysis and monitor freight cost metricsWork with multiple decision-makers within the assigned account to drive business development through multiple channelsAdhere to TSA and other government regulatory compliance standards with regards to booking, routing of all air, ground and sea cargoAchieve service goals by working with various AIT internal groups to develop, implement and monitor logistic metricsWork with the client on any and all reporting requestsResponsible for development and updating SOPs for various business segments*Minimum basic ** High school degree or GED requiredAssociates degree or higher preferred3-5 years previous Freight Forwarding experienceProficient in MS Word, Excel, AS400 experience preferred, but not requiredAbility to multi-task with strong attention to detailMust be able to work in a team setting and autonomously to determine resources to meet and exceed company and customer expectationsAbility to problem solve and be solution orientedIndividual must have a self-starter mentality and is adaptive and flexibleAbility to calculate freight rates and amounts such percentages, area, circumference, and volume
