POSITION SUMMARY:Provides leadership, management, and development of member services, wellness, branch operations, child care, property, programs and administration. We are determined: above all else, we are on a relentless quest to make our community stronger beginning with you.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Serve as a role model and advocate of the YMCA Mission, Promise, Values and Personality.Demonstrates support for the Association and its Strategic Vision.Lead the continued development of the branch board and annual fundraising campaign.Represent and promote the YMCA in the local community and develop positive workingrelationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities.Build and utilize a continuous feedback loop to develop and innovate YMCA programs andservices that meet the needs of the community.Provide leadership in the areas of day-to-day operations of the branch.Communicate across departments to provide a member focused experience that results inincreased member retention and satisfaction.Recruit, hire, train, develop and direct staff teams under supervision. Review andevaluate staff performance. Develop strategies to motivate staff to achieve goals.Develop, manage and monitor assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets. Recommendadjustments to the budget to assure a balanced operation and submit reports on current operations.Engage in active listening with key stake holders in order to build relationships,understand individual goals and interests and take the initiative to assist in the achievement ofthose goals.Ensure the safety, attractive appearance, and maintenance of high-quality facilities,grounds and equipment.Oversee branch marketing and communication to maintain highly integrated services to thecommunity.Perform other duties as assigned.LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES:VolunteerismPhilanthropyChange CapacityFinanceQuality ResultsCollaborationProject/Initiative ManagementQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree from Accredited College/University preferred.Minimum five years' experience in management position - nonprofit experience preferred.Experience in managing a budget of $1M or more.Track record of providing high level of constituent experiences demonstrated bymetrics reflecting growth, impact and satisfaction.Strong speaking and writing skills.Track record of recruiting, inspiring and leading a high-performing team.High emotional intelligence.Varied skills in program services delivery, membership systems, facility management,volunteer development and fundraising.WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by anemployee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
