Sr Inside Sales Drayage - Senior Customer Sales RepresentativeThe Senior Customer Sales Representative is focused on inside sales that include lead generation, cold calling, and customer development to support and grow the GEODIS drayage and domestic forwarding solution. Join an Employee Resource Group, participate in an international lunch, or celebrate your heritage to find your place of belonging.Find Your Future- Whether you are interested in the opportunity to work seasonally or looking to launch your career, GEODIS is the place!Eligibility varies based on location, job, employee type, or length of service.What you will be doing:Utilizes and displays sharp negotiation skills to ensure GEODIS provides the most cost-effective logistics solutionsMaintains reliable communications with sales team and customer to support and resolve any problemsUnderstands and supports the goals, policies, and procedures of GEODISProspects for customers leads to build a customer sales pipelineManages and grows existing accounts to maximize margin abilitiesUtilizes the sales pipeline system (CRM) for tracking and maintaining all sales functionsUsing business development skills to identify, qualify, obtain, and develop relationships with business prospectsUnderstands current market conditions and business trends to opportunities to grow marginsMentors and trains other teammates through job shadowing, call labs and being an active participant in team calls where market intel is sharedParticipates in developmental opportunities that expands your knowledge of the business and industry operationsOther duties as required and assignedExperience.3 years of sales experience in intermodal, drayage, CMS, transload, LTL, and truck brokerage or a combination of education and experience3PL (3rd Party Logistics) experience and familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) systems requiredExperience in successfully selling drayage as a mode of transportation and understanding of the dray processPC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and ExcelAbility to work well independently, occasionally with minimal supervision, and as part of a teamAbility to consistently follow existing processes, develops new processes, and maintains required standards, and work with the team to improve themExceptional customer service focus and skillsMust have a drive to succeed, confidence and superior verbal communication skillsOrganizational and scheduling skillsStrong negotiation skillsWillingness to make outbound sales calls
