DIRECT HIRE ONLY - NO RECRUITERSBe part of our awesome ** SMA is an award-winning firm looking for an energetic and motivated Business Development Manager experienced in the AEC Industry to join our team.IN-HOUSE / HYBRID POSITION - Fort Lauderdale OfficeHybrid *** 3 days at the office/2 days at home after the 90-day Intro period.The applicant must **a self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting with knowledge and interest in environmental and sustainable designstrong technical and graphic abilityThe candidate must be attuned to the companys missions and valuesJob *The Director of Business Development will be a integral part of our Leadership Team.Provides business development leadership, strategic planning and direction for all market sectors.Understands marketing and sales business negotiations and recognizes and acts upon opportunities to promote the Company's expertise and successful past performance.Provides business intelligence on clients, alliances, and competitors to support project pursuits and maintain an active CRM database.Monitors media sources for pertinent information about specific pursuits, industry trends, publications, news, and award participation opportunities. Responsible for procuring and managing Digital Marketing Managers.Participate directly with the Marketing Manager, assisting on RFPs, RFQs, presentations, award submittals, and other marketing collateral.Create or manage graphic design to plan, create, and produce marketing materials.Ensure all deadlines are met proactively with a high level of quality.Identify and coordinate attendance of trade shows and other social events.Set up and attend meetings/events with strategic leads.Research industry publications for industry news as well as advertising opportunities.Compile and maintain a database of documents for RFPs and RFQs, including the firm's qualifications, history, project information, resumes, and other marketing information.Support Principals and Management with business development, marketing and CRM- Minimum level of **** Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience, Architecture Degree a plus- Years of relevant work ***** minimum of 5 years of experience in a marketing role, experience in architecture or engineering industries a plus- Required **Go-getter, outgoing, ambitious.Excellent time-management and organizational skillsSelf-StarterPro-activeHave exceptionally strong communication skills (verbal and written)Excellent relationship building skillsPreferred ** Knowledge of the Florida AEC Industry, Graphic Design, Adobe InDesignAVAILABLE BENEFITSMedical InsuranceRemote & Flex OfficeDental InsuranceRetirement PlanPaid time off, including holidaysPet-Friendly OfficePaid Volunteer HoursFSA and DCFSADependent Care AssistanceSalary will be commensurate with experience
