ROLE:The Membership Executive is responsible for member engagement and retention for the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit 501c6 organization with hundreds of members. The Membership Executive reports to and works in partnership with the Director of Sales. He/she will also provide staff support to all volunteer committees that are responsible for the success of Chamber membership and will provide assistance to other Chamber departments as necessary. RESPONSIBLITIES:· Responsible for implementing and executing strategic retention efforts for all members and sponsors including phone calls, email outreach, and in-person/virtual meetings and events· Assist members in navigating their Chamber membership with clear communication and timely follow up· Seek opportunities to provide additional value to our members and propose sponsorships and membership upgrades· Expected to attend events and programs and interact with members in support of retention efforts· Track retention and sales outreach in the membership database with a high degree of accuracy and produce reports as directed· Assist the Sales department in administrative functions including, but not limited to billing, payment posting, mass communications, targeted outreach, tracking member and prospect information· Support the Sales department in outreach to members and sponsors for events, programs, and sponsorship opportunitiesOTHER DUTIES AND SKILLS· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills· Ability to represent the Chamber in a professional manner to the public· Ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing and on the telephone· Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with chamber members, sponsors, Board, staff, outside organizations and agencies, and the public· Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to members and not-yet members alike· Ability to work independently, determine priorities and make appropriate decisions· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills· Flexibility and ability to work under changing priorities and workloads· Ability to attend early morning, late afternoon, and evening meetings as required· Team player that will assist when needed outside the normal scope of responsibilities· Ability to handle confidential information in a trustworthy manner· Must be self-motivated, articulate, and maintain enthusiasm for serving the membership's needsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDMinimum 2 + years of customer relations experience encouragedExperience working in a fast-paced sales environmentCandidate must have strong proficiency with MS Office, Google tools, and database management systemsSTATUS AND SALARYThis is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Evening and weekend work may be required. Salary range: $50K-$55K based on experience plus commission.
