Due to this growth, they are looking to add an Outside Sales Representative to their team. This person will target the San Diego region.What They Want:Our client is looking for this driven, integrity-led individual to develop business within the Electrical Contractor market. As their Outside Sales Rep, youll play a key role in generating new business opportunities for the company and be a part of building a world-class sales development function.What Youll Do:Build relationships and ensure client needs are met in order to grow business. This will include:Getting the word out: Prospecting/cold calling customers in assigned territory, based on information from an internal database, networking, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.Target market includes large commercial properties, local Developers, General Contractors and Electrical Contractors. Ideally, you have current relationships in this market.Face Time: Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to grow business. Presentations of sales solutions to prospects & clients at their business location.Follow Through: Create effective follow up using phone, email, CRM and in-person approach to manage and organize territory.What you'll need to excel:We are seeking a strategic thinker with a strong drive to succeed through hunting and cold calling. Excellent time management skills and being highly motivated will benefit you as well. Other things you'll need:Existing relationships with area contractors 2+ yrs of Sales experience (your sales record is more important than years on the job. We are looking for the level of experience and ability that typically comes after 2+ years of high performance)Direct experience in the electrical industryAble to come in to the office and also available to travel the San Diego area on a daily basisWho You Are:A genuine person, with high integrityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsYou have a high degree of grit and resilience, enabling you to bounce back from setbacksYou strive to grow and develop and never back down from a challengeYou are a naturally curious person known for asking good questionsYou proactively tackle problems with creative approaches and solutionsYour work ethic is unmatched - anything you don't know you'll make up with hard workYou're extremely coachable and willing to receive and implement feedbackAble to work from home, make regular visits to retail/warehouse location and travel 90%+ of the time within the regionCompensation: $120k+ base (or more, based on strong experience), plus commission.
