FTE OGC Hiring Conflicts Analyst Location: New York office This position is currently working a hybrid schedule of 3 days in-office, 2 days remote. The Opportunity We are seeking a Hiring Conflicts Clearance Analyst to join our Firm. This position will be based in our New York office (hybrid). The Hiring Conflicts Clearance Analyst handles conflicts clearance process for experienced hires including associates, summer associates and incoming first year associates on a Firm-wide basis. Assists with support staff hires, counsel and partners. Drafts and obtains waivers and establishes ethical walls as needed. Assists with special projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conducts conflict clearance for experienced hires including associates, summer associates and incoming first year associates, Firm-wide. Communicates with candidates to ensure accurate and thorough completion of the prior work experience ("PWE") form to ensure that conflicts can be run properly. Reviews resumes and PWE form and follows up with the candidate for additional information as necessary. Submits requests for conflicts check to the Conflicts Department. Reviews and analyzes the conflict reports for potential ethical or business issues. Coordinates and facilitates the conflict clearance process between the candidate, Legal Hiring Department and partners. Interacts with Legal Hiring Department personnel to provide progress updates of conflict check status. Participates in department meetings. Coordinates and follows up with partners with regard to issues related to potential ethical of business conflicts and ethical wall/waiver requests. Prepares and finalizes documents for new hire orientation. Consults with attorneys in the Office of the General Counsel as needed. Trains and mentors other personnel in the Hiring Conflicts Clearance Department. Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others. Manages Firm resources responsibly. Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge of rules and regulations governing conflicts of interest and issues Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs, with flexibility and skills to learn new and proprietary software programs such as the Hiring Conflicts Assistance Tool and online PWE System Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in communicating with Firm attorneys and staff Demonstrates close attention to detail Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality Ability to organize and prioritize work Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs Experience/ Education Bachelors Degree Minimum of two years related experience Please send resumes to Wendi@
