Business Development Associate

Job **Business Development is a core member of our team and plays a significant role across the firm's deal origination (i.e. buy side) mandates. Working directly with senior level professionals, you will be a vital addition and resource to our broader team. This position will be responsible for fostering relationships with business owners on behalf of our buyside clients, namely private equity groups and their portfolio companies. The candidate will gain substantial exposure working directly with the firm's private equity and strategic clients, learning firsthand how these firms operate, assess investments, and execute deals.Job *Actively market our clients' brands and services to a broad range of business owners across a variety of industriesDevelop and nurture relationship with key C-Suite executives and decision-making personnel at target companiesManage relationships with senior deal team professionals and top M&A talentSource opportunities by addressing prospective targets imminent needsCoordinate various aspects of due diligence to support client execution initiativesObtain SIE, 79 and 63 licenses. These will be paid for and scheduled by the firm***Cold-calling or sales experience preferredClient management background and service orientation are a mustPositive and resilient attitudeStrong communication skills (both written and verbal)Ability to forge deep personal relationships very quicklyDesire to exceed expectationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficient in Excel and PowerPoint and comfortable with database management (i.e. - CRM) preferredWorking knowledge of the business world with the opportunity to substantially expand and deepen your understanding of a variety of businesses, business models, and industriesDemonstrated history of professionalism, accountability, resourcefulness, and integrityStrong preference for local Los Angeles applicantsDon't meet every job qualification?
