Forsite is actively developing projects in Montana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Illinois, and Maryland.About the Role:Forsite's proven leadership team is seeking a Senior Project Development Manager to oversee the development process for our growing portfolio of renewable energy projects. The Sr. Project Development Manager will lead and manage all aspects of the development process for renewable energy projects, ensuring successful project execution from inception to completion. This role requires in-depth knowledge of project management, renewable energy technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and internal teams. The successful candidate will drive the development strategy and support the successful execution of renewable energy projects.Key Responsibilities:Development Strategy and Leadership:Develop and implement development strategies for renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements that impact project development.Project Development:Manage and perform the preparation and submission of project proposals and development plans for solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects.Coordinate and oversee feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations required for project development.Directly engage with local, state, and federal agencies to discuss and submit the required development materials needed to progress the project to completion.Ensure timely progression of all development activities to meet project timelines.Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain relationships with landowners, regulatory agencies, local authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders.Represent the company in public meetings, hearings, and consultations to address development concerns and obtain community support.Collaborate with internal teams, including project permitting, engineering, and legal, to ensure comprehensive and compliant development plans.Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with all environmental, zoning, and land-use regulations throughout the project lifecycle.Identify and mitigate risks associated with project development and regulatory compliance.Develop and implement processes and protocols to streamline development activities and improve efficiency.Reporting and Documentation:Prepare and present reports on project status, challenges, and solutions to project developers, senior management, and stakeholders.Maintain accurate records of all development activities, correspondence, and documentation.Track and monitor project milestones and ensure ongoing compliance with development plans.Create, manage and report on project budgets throughout the development lifecycle of projects managed.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Planning, or a related field.
