In this role you will support a positive safety culture that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Sales Professional, you will responsible for promoting, coordinating, and participating in sales and/or service activities in the construction products industry.ResponsibilitiesComply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulationsDevelop sales plans and seeks and gathers information to identify opportunities to expand or improve market positionAssists with the development and execution of long-term product strategies that support sales projectionsResponsible for inventories in assigned territoriesAssists with new products and price settingContact and maintains existing or potential customer relationships; resolves and/or refers customer problems to appropriate functionPromote satisfactory customer relations by working closely with internal and external customers to ensure prompt service to customersAccountable for the development and understanding of state, county, and municipal bid letting procedures as well as engineering and design processes, project material specifications, and material testing specificationsConduct local sales and market surveysPromote company products and materials to engineers, architects and other specifying authoritiesCommunicate with other areas and groups within the company to promote goodwill to assist with establishment of common goalsKeep informed of changes in assigned responsibilities which may affect product sales, contract procedures, and product pricesDevelop forecast for anticipated market sales by gathering, evaluating and presenting to management all market information regarding company productsParticipate in community and social activities that enhance Company's position in salesMaintain records; prepare and submit reports on sales activityResponsible for understanding Company's production plant capabilities, efficiencies and cost to ensure maximum service to customersResponsible for timely collection of monies owed to Company and provide lien data to the credit department when appropriate and other duties as assignedQualifications - Education: Bachelors/Undergraduate Degree, comparable experience may be substituted for preferred degreeRequired SkillsKnowledge regarding pricing strategies and sales forecasting3-5 Years B2B Sales Experience RequiredSound working knowledge of aggregates and construction materials, including basic knowledge of customer uses of our products (i.e. concrete plants)Knowledge of aggregates production including quality controlStrong interpersonal communication skills - verbal/written to establish and maintain good working relationships with customersProficient in MS Word, Excel and Power PointKnowledge of material standards within construction industryMust be a self-starter, who works with little supervisionThe ability to join and participate in industry-related associations and present the Company in such activitiesPreferred SkillsPay range and compensation package - Paid Bi-weekly, Opportunity for annual performance increases, 401k program with employer matching, Room for growth and career advancement, Health insurance, Dental & vision Insurance, Paid life insurance, Paid short term disability, Paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidaysEqual Opportunity Statement - Include a statement on commitment to diversity and inclusivity
