Our challenge We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Murex Analyst to join our Capital Markets team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives, with a solid understanding of Murex configurations and business analysis. The candidate should be tech-savvy, possessing skills in SQL, scripting, and Excel, and capable of performing basic configurations in Murex. Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $120k - $135k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: Perform daily monitoring, support, and maintenance of the Murex platform. Conduct basic configurations and parameter adjustments within the Murex system to meet business requirements. Engage with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions. Conduct gap analysis and recommend system improvements or enhancements. Apply knowledge of Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives to ensure accurate system configurations and data integrity. Provide insights and support related to trading, risk management, and settlement processes. Utilize SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting. Develop and maintain scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency. Leverage Excel for data analysis, modeling, and reporting. Assist in the planning and implementation of Murex-related projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. Participate in system testing, validation, and user training. Troubleshoot and resolve Murex-related issues in a timely manner. Provide second-line support for complex technical problems. Requirements: You are: Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7-8 years of experience working with Murex in a Capital Markets environment. Demonstrated experience in Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives. Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages, and Excel. Familiarity with Murex configurations and basic technical setup. Understanding of database structures and data management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Experience with business process documentation and gap analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Murex modules related to trading, risk, and back-office functions. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in Capital Markets. Professional certifications in Murex or relevant areas (e.g., CFA, FRM).
