The Human Resources Operations Specialist will play a critical role in managing benefits compliance, leading technical aspects of HRIS system (UKG Pro), supporting payroll function, running various reports, dashboards, and data audit and analytics. In addition, they will assist HR subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, data maintenance, testing of system changes, maintaining system tables, creating reports, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and testing HRIS upgrades.As Human Resources Operations Specialist , youll advance our lifesaving mission by performing the following duties:System Administration/ManagementHRIS Optimization: Collaborate with the People & Culture team and stakeholders to implement, optimize, and align HR technologies (i.e. payroll, benefits, Workforce Management (WFM), benefits, talent management, learning) with business needs and strategic objectives.System Implementation & Maintenance: Lead HRIS system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements; manage security, configuration changes, and alignment with business requirements.Process Efficiency: Identify opportunities to automate or simplify benefit administration processes using technology; improve issue tracking, project management, and global team collaboration.Data Analytics: Gather data requirements, analyze engagement with benefit programs, and identify areas for continuous improvement in systems and offerings.Integrations: Collaborate with the People & Culture team and third-party providers to design and maintain benefit integrations; support system migrations (e.g., Ascentis to UKG).Communication Support: Assist with communication strategy using technology platforms and data analysis to engage internal and external stakeholders.Open Enrollment: Lead system testing and integration for the annual open enrollment process for US-based employees; own technology project plans.Recognition Program: Manage the technology interface and reporting for LifeSource's recognition and service award programs.Total Rewards AdministrationBenefit Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with Health & Welfare, 401k & 457 plans, COBRA, Leave Management, and related benefit offerings.Benefit Administration Support: Acts as backup to Total Rewards Partner and Payroll/Benefits Administrator in their respective areas of day-to-day benefit administration.Vendor Management: Serve as the primary contact for benefit brokers and vendors to ensure timely benefit actions and compliance.Leave of Absence (LOA) Management: Oversee the Leave of Absence (LOA) process, coordinating with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), employees and leave management vendor.Compliance & Audits: Lead or assist in internal and external audits to ensure benefit compliance, addressing gaps as necessary.Open Enrollment & Audits: Manage eligibility audits, open enrollment coordination with brokers and leadership, and ensure HRIS setup for enrollments and life events.ACA & COBRA Compliance: Handle ACA reporting, compliance and administrationPayroll/Benefit Administration Support: Backup to Payroll/Benefits Administrator; review payroll processes, invoicing, claims, and tax reporting.Education & Knowledge Sharing: Support internal education on Total Rewards for the People & Culture team and employees.QUALIFICATIONS Requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years of human resources including a minimum of five (5) years HRIS, and benefits compliance and administration experience. Additional experience with payroll administration is a plus. Proficiency in using Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS)/Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), UKG Pro preferred.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced proficiency in Excel and BI reporting skills. Experience in leading projects, program and best practices. Experience with full payroll processing preferred. Previous experience handling benefits and payroll migrations and system transitions preferred.Solutions-orientated with an ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.Demonstrated ability to exhibit a high degree of quality, integrity, and honor confidentiality of appropriate information including, but not limited to, personal team member data, organizational operations or work processes, donor and donor family information, contributor details, any financial information and medical or protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA.Proven skilled and competent in using technology-based tools such as personal computers and related software, mobile devices, and electronic medical record systems, as appropriate for position.Projected offer range: $76-90k, based on relevant experienceWhy Join LifeSource:At LifeSource, we're relentlessly pursuing a day where those in need of a life-saving or life-enhancing organ, eye or tissue transplant receive that gift.
