We do this with an education lead sales model that prioritizes delivering exceptional customer service and product to our independent pet partners and their customers. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for building retailer and store associate relationships and recommendations through frequent store visits and calls. The TSM position is responsible for opening new accounts and growing sales in existing accounts in the assigned territory. The TSM will own the execution of sales, merchandising and education programs designed to increase sales, profits and market share in the assigned territory.Note: This role will require working on the weekends, overnights, and evenings at times, as well as travel 50-75% of the time. You must have a valid driver's license to be considered. This position will cover Northern California, Utah and Nevada . In order to qualify for this role, you must live in Northern California.Primary ResponsibilitiesEstablish and nurture relationships with prospective customers to introduce them to A Pup Above productsRegularly visit and phone prospective and existing customers for ongoing sales and supportEnsure A Pup Above product sets are merchandised to retailer schematics and brand guidelines to increase sales, profits and market share in assigned regionProvide in-person and remote training to retailers to help educate them on the features and benefits of the productsDevelop, maintain and execute on territory sales target listCollaborate with APA distributors and their sales reps to service accounts and grow sales in the regionParticipate in trade shows and in-store eventsResolve retailer issues and complaints in a timely mannerMaintain accurate records of all customer contacts, store visits, communication, training and events in company CRMQualificationsAn outgoing personality with a can do attitude to get the job doneAbility to relate and effectively build relationships with people3+ years working experience in Pet preferred1 year minimum experience managing a territory with proven successful resultsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to manage and track trade budgetAbility to manage and track T&E budgetAvailability to work nontraditional hours including some weekends and evenings to support store events and trade showsFamiliarity with CRM systems like Salesforce or RepslyAbility to travel overnight up to 50-75% of the scheduleMust have a valid driver's license to be consideredMust have reliable transportationWhat We OfferHealth, Dental, Vision Plans401kFlexible Paid Time OffPaid Sick Leave12 Company HolidaysComplimentary Pup Food
