West Peak market managers are responsible for representing & managing the wholesale market presence, brand awareness, product representation and sales at on and off-premise retail accounts, with distributor partners, and at events throughout their assigned territory. The market manager supports existing customers and creates new customer relationships to increase overall brand awareness in their assigned territory and helping the sell through at retail. Market managers are also required to do demos/samplings, or coordinate staffing a West Peak Brand Ambassador to promote brand awareness and sales. Representatives are energetic and team-oriented members with a passion for the alcohol industry and the ability to build strong relationships.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:· Passionate about the alcohol industry.· Knowledgeable about their respective territory and the industry as a whole..· Support and promote West Peak's mission and company culture.· Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative to meet sales and revenue goals and identify new opportunities. Effectively plan and prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to maximize productivity· Meet deadlines for sales targets, reports, and other assigned responsibilities.· Operate effectively within company and budgetary guidelines.· Perform administrative tasks as required including expense reports, work calendars, sales goals, etc.· 95% in market position creating and growing accounts, 5% office and administrative.· Secure and expand distribution in assigned account base.· Ability to overcome multiple objections, be persuasive and tenacious and win the sale. Take sales orders and submit orders accurately.· Ability to recognize, respond and communicate sales opportunities and threats.· Ability to pre-plan sales, territory and account specific objectives towards sales quotas and distributions by maintaining weekly pre-plan for assigned territory.· Adhere to federal, state and company regulations that govern our industry.· Follow up on customer issues and concerns and follows through on customer commitments.· Create, maintain, and update master sales route lists which include buyer information, sales call times, call back times.· Maintain a sales and display kit with all the necessary pricing, sell sheets, samples and point of sale material.· Develop and maintain positive relationships with the key points of contacts and decision makers at all customer accounts. Regularly visit clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and identify opportunities for collaboration, including scheduling demos.· Assist customers with new product placement, promotions, & sales trends.· Exhibit discipline and resourcefulness to meet/exceed assigned monthly salesquotas and placement objectives. Sales targets will change respectively with company's brand growth.· Participate in sales meetings and on/off-site trainings.· Interact respectfully and maintain communication with inter-company departments, distribution partners (merchandisers and delivery drivers) as well as customers and suppliers.· Flexibility in hours which include early mornings, evenings and/or weekends. Overnight accommodations may be required for brand activation or multiple day events.· Adaptability and ability to assist a variety of internal customer groups and varying personality types daily.· Monitor inventory to maintain proper amount based on sales trends, promotions, seasonal changes, and new product placement.· Utilize point of sales materials, build displays and merchandise shelves.· Plan and execute product samplings in both on and off premise accounts (minimum of 2 per week).· Become RBS certified to comply with ABC license requirements.· Utilize Customer Relationship Management Tool (Lilypad) to record demo recap communicating product sold, consumer feedback, inventory, account contact information, etc.Skills, Physical & Mental Requirements:· Must have ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend and extended workdays are necessary.· 95% of time spent actively selling to deliver distribution goals, rate of sale goals, volume goals, and quarterly priorities. 5% administrative.· Strong customer service skills and supportive, collaborative attitudes.· Positive attitude and "˜can do, get it done' mentality on driving business.· Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.· The Market Manager is subject to inside and/or outside environmental conditions. Working tasting events will at times require employee to work outside in windy, hot, cold or wet conditions. At times employee will need to work in refrigerated areas such as beer caves and merchandising units. Employee will need to work around crowds and be able to deal with challenging situations involving people and their behaviors in a responsible, yet friendly manner.
